At Rural Education Foundation Uganda (REFU), we ensure that Education is accessible to the very poor children and youth in rural areas through scholarships and providing logistics, and we strive to see schools have better facilities such as libraries. Together, we build a sustainable future!

School dropouts

We are assisting hundreds of school dropouts to re-enter school again and we are assisiting young mothers go back to school

 

Rural School infrastructure

We are building school libraries, toilets and boreholes to enable rural students have a favourable studying environment

We now go freely to this toilet and we feel that our sanitation and hygiene have improvd. This will help reduce disease contaminations that previously occured in our school due to the bad toilets that we had.

REFU equipped laboratory

The Chemistry and Biology teachers of Kibinge High school can now effectively teach their students without any limitation due to the newly equipped laboratory. The theory lessons can now be supplemented by the practical lessons, and the students are so excited about this experience. ''We can now compete with other schools in the National examinations because we have all necessary requirements to perform better'', Christine Nakibirige, S.4 student
